Designers- Charlie Tuesday Gates

Charlie Tuesday gates is popularly known for her use of taxidermy in her art work, usually creating puppet shows with skinned foxes and other wild animals, but she did create a series of head dresses, using parts of animals (e.g feathers, beak) as part of her work, I think they are very stylised and are similar to the work on catwalks today, I am using her work as inspiration for mine, as I hope to be creating a headress and ruff on the design brief of Alice in wonderland, this research has helped me look at the way artist create and structure their work, although I wouldn't include animal heads I could incorporate feathers into my work. I also like the way she has used jewels on her work.
