I first opened up my photo in photoshop, I then went straight to adjustment and curves, to lighten the picture up, this also remover some of the fleshy colour from Sarah's face, which is what wanted.
I then used the quick mask option,
coloured in all of Sarah's face with it, this was a quick and much easier way of selecting her face with the magic wand tool rather than going around her face like i usually would use it.
I then went into curves adjustments and curves and made her face lighter, again.
I then inverses the selection so that the background would then be selected.
I made the background a lot darker, so that it looked like a block black background, this also made the white words that painted stand out.
I coloured in the parts of the wall that was black.
I then cropped the image down.
I used the quick selection tool to highlight sarans face again, I could of done this step earlier, but I decided I wasn't happy with the way her face looked, I wanted it to look paler with a tint of blue in it.
After this I selected to eyes...
and used the hue/saturation tool on the colourise setting to make her eyes look intense blue instead of green.
Here is the finished product, I am really happy with how this has turned out, the hue in her face really compliments the makeup and I'm really glad i decided to change the colours of the eyes because they make a real difference.
